Welcome to Leadership Launch!

...Mentoring & Developing Women Leaders

The Purpose

For more than 30 years, the programs and projects of Women's Resources have been successfully identifying, encouraging, educating and advancing women in their own leadership journeys. Leadership Launch is specifically geared for the woman who is:

  • In the early stages of her leadership trajectory,
  • Intent on acquiring the skills and information she needs to be authentically successful in her chosen profession, and
  • Looking for ways to engage in and give back in the community where she lives.

Leadership Launch joins other offerings in the new Women's Resources Regional Programs that also includes:

  • Leadership Passages, for the mid-career, aspiring woman leader who is moving up or changing course
  • Leadership Legacy, for the seasoned woman leader who has 'been there, done that,' looking for what's next.

Structure

The one-day, intensive program is delivered in select communities around the state of Texas, customized to help identify and benefit local, emerging women leaders with the support and participation of Women's Resources members and program graduates.

The unique, local format makes it possible to connect participants with community peers and established women leaders whom they might never meet otherwise. The result is a diverse and broadened community network of women -- across varying professions, organizations and cultures -- who share the common desire to be positive leaders in all that they do.

The daylong, interactive agenda, led by a team of leadership development experts, is packed with provocative exchanges, challenging introspection, powerful group discussions and 'News You Can Use' concerning leadership styles, personal growth, financial awareness and work/life integration.

Workshop Objectives

Launch participants have the opportunity to:

  • Explore the importance of personal and professional awareness as it relates to leadership, career path, personal responsibility and accountability, and leveraging relationships
  • Gain snapshots of strengths to build on rather than weaknesses to expose
  • develop clear priorities for the full scope of life, both professional and personal
  • Clarify personal values and how they can fit into opportunities to support professional development and community building
  • Identify ways to exercise positive power and influence more effectively

Workshop Costs, Locations & Registration

Leadership Launch is open to any emerging woman who is ready to grow her knowledge, network and leadership potential. The inclusive rate covers everything: all workshop activities, materials, printed photo and bio participant directory, breakfast, lunch and afternoon reception, and one full year's paid associate membership in Women's Resources, providing the privilege of access to other opportunities and event.
